One of the legal ways of arriving in this country for employment purposes is by applying for a Czech Republic working holiday visa. This type of visa was created under a program that is open only to few nationalities. What should one know on the Czech working holiday visa?
This type of visa can be used as a way of moving to Czech Republic for a determined period of time, during which the person can engage in various types of employment contracts. From paid work to trainings and internships, foreigners can start various types of activities.
It is addressed to both post-secondary graduates who want to improve their skills in their respective field, as well as to young persons who want to travel here and fund their trip by working in local businesses. The Czech Republic working holiday visa is divided into three basic categories, the following being available:
• the visa grants the right of moving to Czech Republic for a period of 1 year;
• the applicant can participate in training courses with a duration of up to 6 months;
• the Czech Republic working holiday visa can be processed in a period of 4 to 6 weeks;
• the issuance of the visa implies the payment of a fee, of CZK 2,500;
• persons obtaining an income above CZK 15,000 are advised to file a tax return.
The application requirements are generally the same as it is in the case of other types of visas that can be requested with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The applicant, regardless of the country of origin, has to be the holder of a valid passport and he or she must complete the standard application form required for this type of document.
Even though the Czech Republic working holiday visa can be used for the purpose of employment in this country, the applicant must present proof on the fact that he or she has sufficient financial means to live in this country for the entire duration of the visa and it can be a tool for permanent residency or obtaining the Czech citizenship.

How can one use the visa in Czech Republic?
As we mentioned earlier, the Czech Republic working holiday visa can be requested for three main categories of activities. The Category A available for this type of visa is addressed to post-secondary graduates who want to participate in a training established through an employment contract.
The Category B is available for the same category of persons moving to Czech Republic, but who will participate in academic studies. They can arrive here through an employment contract or an internship offer. The Category C is addressed only to persons who have as a main purpose visiting the country, but who will be allowed to work here as a way of funding their stay in Czech Republic.
